Chevrolet has raised prices on every trim of the 2027 Silverado EV, its electric full-size pickup, by $700 to $1,200, and every 2027 truck now leaves the factory with a Tesla-style NACS charging port. The top Trail Boss with the Max Range battery also gets more power, now rated at 750 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, according to InsideEVs, which cited GM Authority.

For shoppers, the change means a higher sticker price across the lineup. Owners gain direct access to Tesla Superchargers without carrying an adapter.

How much the 2027 Silverado EV costs

The cheapest version, the Silverado EV Standard Range, starts at $56,085 including destination, which is $700 more than the 2026 model. The LT and Trail Boss trims with the Extended Range battery each went up $1,000 from last year.

The most expensive truck, the Trail Boss with the Max Range battery, now starts at $90,395. That is $1,200 more than the 2026 version.

The RST, which used to sit at the top of the range, has been dropped from the lineup.

A Tesla-style plug on every truck

All 2027 General Motors EVs now come with a native NACS port, short for North American Charging Standard, the connector Tesla developed for its own cars. With the port built in, a Silverado EV can plug straight into a Tesla Supercharger or any other station with NACS cables. Earlier models needed an adapter to do that.

More power, with a catch

The Trail Boss Max Range gains 25 hp over the outgoing model. The full 750 hp is only available in Wide Open Watts mode, a setting that pushes the truck to its maximum output for hard acceleration. Chevrolet does not intend it for everyday driving, and the company has not said how much power the truck makes with the mode turned off.

Power figures for the other trims stay the same. Every Silverado EV uses two motors and all-wheel drive:

  • WT: 510 hp, with 490 or 580 lb-ft of torque depending on the battery.
  • LT Standard Range: 605 hp and 605 lb-ft.
  • LT Extended Range: 645 hp and 765 lb-ft.
  • Trail Boss Extended Range: 625 hp and 775 lb-ft.
  • Trail Boss Max Range: 750 hp in Wide Open Watts mode.

The Trail Boss has a two-inch suspension lift, 35-inch tires, standard four-wheel steering, an off-road body kit and new drive modes. Even with that off-road hardware, it has the longest range in the lineup, up to 478 miles with the Max Range battery.

New cameras and recording features

The 2027 truck adds three camera functions. Cabin Glance puts a live video feed of the interior on the infotainment screen. Security Recording saves footage from the onboard cameras when the alarm goes off. Surround Vision Recorder keeps recording while the truck is being driven, working much like Tesla’s Dashcam feature.

What it means for buyers and owners

Anyone shopping for a new Silverado EV will pay more for the 2027 model than for a 2026 truck with the same trim and battery. The increases range from $700 on the entry model to $1,200 on the top Trail Boss.

The built-in NACS port removes the need for an adapter at Tesla Superchargers, which matters most to owners who take long trips. Buyers who wanted the RST trim will have to pick a different version, since it is no longer offered for 2027.

Where the trucks are built

Production of the 2027 Silverado EV started last month at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
